After seeing the wall that our wastgate opens to on a stock elbow, I refuse to believe that our exhaust manifolds are super effective. I have an intercooler and I'm in the process of upgrading my CT, therefore when i install, i figured i might as well upgrade the exhaust manifold as well.

I'm getting ready to upgrade my turbo. I remember seeing a company, through here, i believe, that offers a coating or polishing for $55 that makes the ct26 look great. I can't for the life of me find or remember where I saw this at.

DOes anyone make a performance exhaust manifold that will bolt up to the ct-26? There are tons that make them for the t4 flange, but i haven't found any direct bolt ons for the ct-26

It will work better as in it will have less of a chance of blowing under high boost...When installed properly...ie block completely flat. IT WILL NOT SEAL ANY BETTER THEN A BEAD TYPE.

Just a FYI, my buddy switched from a pfc-fcon to an emange blue and he likes the emanage way better. If your talking emanage ultimat it will get rid of the MAF!

You cannot go down in size. You can rebuild the turbo, but it will still be 60 trim. I wouldn't ever advise rebuilding your own turbo because they are very precise units, and spin at very high rpm's. also is it 60 trim or 60-1? I would find somebody willing to trade you for a stock turbo...

Yes... you CAN do it, but I would at least take the head to a shop and have them check the clearances of the head. Or just have it decked/milled just to make sure. Why take the chance, this isn't a piddly 5 hour job, your gonna put a lot of work into doing this, and imagine if the problem doesnt...

It takes a hell of a lot less than 500hp to hit 4.5 seconds, i hit 4.9 with a 3" elbow, 3" downpipe, no cat, 3" exhaust, 12psi, intercooler. Keep in mind that is only 1.5 seconds than what the MKiii does stock. I used my buddies performance meter to measure. (gtech or whatever) Most were around...

Yeah they are VERY delicate and sensitive. He needs a better filter if the afm is getting so dirty he has to clean it!

First thing I would do is check for boost leaks. My car was doing "similiar" to that, and it was a boost leak. Probably wont fix the problem completely but its a place to start.
