Can someone recommend to me a GREAT company I can buy a 7mgte from, including the transmission and possibly not including bad shipping? There seem to be many different places to choose from and I'm skeptical of several of them. Any input would be appreciated, thanks. :)
So far I've gone to harbor freight, autozone, discount, and sears and none of them carry the 14mm hex nut/ allen wrench. Everyone tells me to try Napa, so wish me luck. Thanks for the info about where to get a replacement "3rd engine cover", that product on the link looks promising.
if I could get that thin piece out I could probably get the oil out and actually check the plug but as it is I don't have much room to move my finger let alone a rag.
Yeah, it probably is the gaskets, I just checked the last plug all the way in the back. well I didn't check it because when i pulled off the boot I saw oil all around it. The plug I did check turns out to be in perfect shape after I cleaned off the oil so it's running the correct mixture at...
ok so I pulled the no 1 spark plug today, it was completely drenched in oil. Now here's my question, I just found out one of my pcv lines from the valve cover on the left was almost completely clogged... do you think all that extra build up of oil in the valve covers could have caused the seals...
Ok won't do that then, I just wish I could redirect it into something else. I've seen pictures of other people's cars and it looks like quite a few people direct the pcv tubes into something other then the intake manifold... doesn't that just sound like a stupid thing to do in the first place...
So I've been reading that it's normal for it to idle above 1000 during startup but my idle never goes down, even when it's at normal operating temperature. Any ideas? I haven't tried adjusting it yet.
Ok so I don't have a bhg. I got it checked by a reputable shop and it turns out the reason the smoke looks white is because I'm using synthetic, i've ONLY used synthetic since I've got the car. The mechanic checked it by smelling it, he actually stuck his nose in the tailpipe while it was...
Ok so I goto my car after I get off work tonight to drive home and low and behold practically every light in the dash doesn't turn on. I don't have my glovebox installed, so I was able to notice that light does turn on but everything else, dead. Now, all the actual buttons and gauges still work...
yeah, I just checked out the site and my own personal manual. It does look like it would give me a lot of insight on the way the car is put together. But I have another question for you guys. So I filled the car with coolant today and started it up. The light went away and no white smoke...
