Are you actually able to adjust the timing with the MAFT-PRO? I havn't heard of anyone succesfully doing that. I wasn't even sure if the 7M stock ecu was that agressive in pulling timing when it senses knock. Good to know..
Very interesting topic. Keep us updated.
I'm pretty sure the new Walbro 400LPH outperforms all the affordable in-tank fuel pumps.

"I have over sized valves, high lift cams, oversized pistons, port and polished head. etc, etc."
Me too..
The AEM EMS will alow you to raise up the idle since agressive cams don't like to idle low. Other than that, the stock ECU will run ok with those mods.
Lol. I thought you meant the Air/fuels were off at cruising. It's definately normal for them to jump around a little. My car is very heavily modded on the stock ECU and the air/fuel jumps around, but it's always hovering around 14.3.
Good luck, I'm sure it's something simple. But I don't...
You should have fixed your Air/Fuel cruising problem before you installed the AEM EMS. The AEM is only complicating things now. Something had to be seriously wrong if your A/F was off at cruising with the stock ECU.
Also.. This is why I always give the advise on spending the extra $ on a good...
For that amount of power, I would just find a used VPC if you already have a AFC. If not, just get a MAFT-PRO although I think the prices should have come down by now. Both should be very easy to tune and install.
Alright, thanks everyone. Man, I feel special with IJ in this thread..thought you would be on some gay GM motor forum.
So, do I have to let the ISC reset with the engine idling low before I unplug it?
Thanks a lot Supracentral, that makes sense about the ISC.
And as for the cam gears, I had them adjusted for power the last time I dynoed. I made about 20 more RWHP with +4 exhaust and -1 intake.
I could do this the easy way and put the stock cams back in, but these 264's make some great power.
I wish it was that simple.

"When at any speed lower than what you desire unplug the valve. That'll freeze it. Then adjust idle upwards to what you want."
Not sure I'm understanding this still. The problem...
Thanks for all the responses. I have messed with the throttle linkage and I was able to get it higher, but it went too high. Just looking for some better ideas. Not sure what is meant by defeating the ICS?
I guess the idle sped screw adjustment is the way to go. My throttle body is not...
I just feel more comfortable tuning with the stock ECU, and without having to depend on a tuner. And I believe the stock ECU is much more capable than people think.
I recently switched back to the stock ECU with a VPC/AFC after getting tired of the AEM EMS I had. Now I cannot get the car to idle with my BC264 cams and oversized valves. Are there any tricks to get the idle speed up? It will just stall if the engine speed goes below 1K rpms. BTW, I'm pretty...
My supra is running great this year, unfortunately I'm not. I have surgury on the 24th of may, so I dought I can make it. Hopefully this meet gets delayed this year again, then I will have a better chance of coming.
