I hate you.... under 4k.....
Nice score! But I demand more pictures!
I see nothing wrong with the A80's.. they are still supras after all... and if we start bashing the mkIV.. we are just as bad as they are.
Get that crank pulley bolt torqued up asap... if it's loose you will wear down the keyway and that means you will have to replace the crank.. or do some serious patch work on it.
turbo :) I did and i'm never going back! Now i'm able to roast gutted rx7 turbos, a bpu rhd mr2 turbo, turbo subaru legacy with wrx swap (even from a dig) <- my buddie's cars... a 350z and a brand new prosche carrera to name a few from tonight...
hehe... just replaced my spark plugs today.. noticed the 3 and 5 plug wires were swapped.. the numbers where reallly worn on the coil packs. Checked the tsrm as I was doing my plugs and noticed the PROPER order for the plug wires.. now it hits about 9psi and its scorching hot outside (runs much...
no it's an aftermarket boost gauge... I'm going to compare it to my mityvac maybe it will tell me if it's off or not..
So since I am a 5spd I should have been making more than 5.5lbs of boost? Regardless of my ecu/wastegate/wiring harness etc.
really it's not all that bad... just pull the plug wires off the plugs and get that water out of there.. throw the plug wires back on and then run er for a bit.. pull the plug wires off again and make sure no water is left... then go ahead and replace your plugs.
this did happen to me after I took my rear hood seal out and went through an automatic car wash... water ran down the windsheild and under the hood... Water ran ontop of the motor and went into the little holes in the spark plug valley cover.
I used a turkey baster to get as much water as...
then if you know it's bad why would you pull it out?
If you pull out the spark plug while there is water in the spark plug valley you will get WATER in the combustion chamber.
so that would be the difference between the auto and m/t ecu's?
I'm asking because I'm using the motor, harness, and turbo out of an auto, but running it all off a 5spd ecu... with an aftermarket boost gauge that read around only about 5.5psi at full boost... even after shimming the wastegate...
carpet can be found at several places online, I think you can still get it at the dealership too...
for the seats you can head to leatherseats.com and order up a set (comes with material for your front and rear seats aswell as the door panel inserts)
Empera makes new shift boots and centre...
what else limits boost other than the pressure being applied on the wastegate actuator in order to open it.. isn't it self contained on the turbo housing itself?
Quick question... are the wastegates actuators on the automatic and 5spd equipped cars different? Because isn't the stock boost on the autos a little bit less than on the manuals?
