That isn't going to last long... there's no pressure on it right now but there will be once it's mounted and used... then it'll most likely break.
I thought about about balancing first too.... but why there... that's just plain stupid.
Couldn't have said it better myself. FCO is a safety precaution. If you were to mount a FCD this precaution would be gone. And without proper mods or other precautions it will kill your engine in seconds.
It's a cheap thing... but your engine is not ;)
440's and the lexafm will kill the engine. period. The pump is ordered already. But will i need something else in fuel management ? I don't like the afpr options as far as tuning a/f's. It's possible but not ideal.
So basically the q remains the same. If i were to install 550's with a lex afm...
That's why i was wondering about this whole fuel thing too. A friend of mine had a supra with lexafm/550's on a stockpump too. Plus he ran a upgraded ct26 and he ran it hard. But he never had any problems with it. Not with the rich/lean thing that is... the rest of the engine just fell apart...
Sad enough not only in america :(, My neighbor (who's also the guy i rent our place from and literally Bus(c)h from my little 3 street town) told me to get rid of the supra... i told him to get lost, my supra, my rules (plus he made the mistake of coming over to complain on my birthday...)...
Hmm i'm wondering, would it be safe to just put in the lexafm/rc550 combo with a bigger turbo(SP61GT) and have it @15psi ? If notis adding a Walbro 255 going to change that ?
The centersections aren't in his hands either afaik. And a circus it is indeed. I've had contact with Tim before... but the replytimes itself is a horrorstory... the last 2 pms are about a month and 2 months ago... merely a request for a status update and a request for more info on the regular...
It's already been said, but i'll tell you once more. A turbo is only efficient when the engine has a load... i.e. if you drive the car the engine actually has to do something, which results in more exhaust gasses that are blown into the turbo with much and MUCH more pressure. Which in turn...
I fully agree on SP being "quite" hard to get anything done from soon. I'm not going into that. If the conversion to dbb isn't too expensive i'd have that done too... you'd have a SP61GT DBB sooner then SP themselves :D
Hi ppl,
i recently acquired a DoLuck front bumper and i'm having some q's about mounting this thing. Mind you i have a 88 supra and i have done some modding to my bumper allready. Bumpersupports (lower brackets) are all gone due to rust. I intend to make a decent brace for that part.
