Its never normal for a car to smoke, and he's having problems with smoke at idle after running it hard. and if you've been running 15psi on stock twins for two years, its only a matter of time for you too.

Maybe my cars werid but i build boost when i rev the motor, i hit 10psi at 6k rpms. guess its those tiny twins:biglaugh:. but on topic if you want to build boost off the line your wanting to do some serious drag racing which you best option to achive both would be to go auto.

I would just find some Welds, or Centerlines or something along those lines id get atleast a 9in wheel. so you can put some 26x10.5x15 slicks, thats the most popular size for slicks. So you'll have plenty of options for tires.

Front? the fronts are 96 cobra wheels, with some summer performace tires 17/245/45. The rears are centerline telstars, with M/T ET Street Slicks, pretty sure there tubes.

Dont know what the manufacture specifies. but those numbers are too low. my 1j was 145 155 160 160 150 145. A good heathly rebuild motor should be up around 170.

So my twins are starting to smoke pretty bad, i was wondering if there's anywhere that rebuilds them,or if there's somewere that upgrades them, cause i dont want to put stock twins back on that are only going to last me a couple months.
