strange, most of the time i go to the store or so people are like oh what year is that supra it looks real clean and whatnot then start talking about the MK4 supra's for like 20 minutes, funny how no honda/acura ever wanted to race me :)
all you have to do is completely remove the tie rod end that you are working on. loosen the larger clamp on the rack that holds the boot and use a pair of pliers to remove the smaller one that locks onto the inner tie rod, then it just slips out with little force, then replacing is reverse of...
perhaps upgrading to a higher pressure radiator cap may help? idk as our family van always varies in temp after driving for a long time starts off at 1/4 temp then goes all the way up to 3/4 but not close to the red area yet then slowly falls back down after turning a/c off
it would be nice if the canister could be relocated underneath the wheel wells or underneath the car like my dads 88 Pickup truck, nice and neatly tucked in there dirt free :)
well for me what i did was i took one of the round transmission plugs that mount somewhere under the intake manifold IIRC its round has 3 wires one white, one black and a blue, what i did was i jumped the two wires that are across from each other (the pin looks like a T somewhat) and the blue...
if you use a W58 in the 7mgte it wont hold up as much as a r154 would and possibly wear our the clutch disc faster, but i know a few people on here that have used it, otherwise as far as wiring goes, just wire the neutral start switch to the clutch safety start switch (or bypass if u dont wanna...
okay this is weird, i notice on some days the radiator reservoir would be near empty the next morning after a long trip, then today after a long drive, let it cool down for about 8 hours and checked just now the upper radiator hose feels completely soft like theres no water in it but the...
check the ISCV? i had a faulty one before causing low idle at times and it wants to stall but after giving it a good cleaning she was great, as when you remove it from the intake manifold the stuff inside gets gunked up with burnt fuel? i assume as its dark charcoal-ish kind of residue
that i have no idea why at 11, but what i noticed was that it was slowly losing pressure maybe about 1 psi per 45-60 minutes? so i knew there was a leak somewhere as if it was completely sealed then the pressure would maintain till i reset the gauge
make sure you have all vacuum hoses routed correctly and no broken connectors/switches which can cause a small sputtering on first start-up, have you checked your radiator hoses and your radiator may have a small hole somewhere causing water to slowly leak out and cause overheating, or maybe...
by not in my favor does it mean it could be the cause or no? i havent checked the plugs but last time i checked (1k miles ago) they were about all the same color, no antifreeze tint or any plugs cleaner than the rest
i burped the cooling system based on how the forum told me to, then afted about 2 days after burping i kept topping the fluid off, and after i still keep adding fluid and the bubbling comes back so thats why i know it keeps losing coolant
Has anybody ever used their "Rock Product" head gasket for a 7mge/gte? im planning on replacing my head gasket soon but on a budget and they sell it for only $34+ shipping, you guys think its worth getting it? or is it almost like ebay gasket quality? please let me know thanks
they are almost direct fit, i had the modify the center panel of the chassis since there were additional studs on the 89+ tails that i needed to drill thru on the chassis, but other than that its a direct fit on :)
