changing tire and a stud broke off!

Push the new stud in from the back and use some washers and a lug nut to pull it into the hub until it seats.

changing tire and a stud broke off!

I always retorque mine, regardless of the shop that does the install, and then retorque them again after several days of driving. By the way, the torque spec for the wheels is for clean dry threads.

    Another Rod Knock Thread

It's not bad. Some cleanup work, turn the crank and put bearings in it. Other work as desired, perfectly fixable.

Do you believe the Supra (MK3) will become a collectors car over time?

Just my two cents' worth, but I think the Supra will be at best a boutique car, one that appeals to a very small market segment. Don't get me wrong, I'm a middle-aged American male and I love my Supra. That said, other than a few movies, it's never really gotten much press. Outside of people...

    E-Brake Malfunction

How's the inside of the rotor look? At worst you'll need a set of rear rotors if the existing ones can't be cleaned up on a lathe. Aside from the rotor, just take the assembly apart, put in new/relined shoes, springs and holddowns, reassemble it and adjust it, and it will be fine. It's not a...

    Mix-Matching Tire Size Bad Idea?

They'll be fine for a few days, although if you have to brake really hard the front end will slide a bit easier.

    Electronic Rust Prevention

The problem that everybody runs into is that the capacitance of the vehicle changes every time a person enters/exits, it gets wet, groceries are loaded, or you get too close to a vehicle or wall. It's extremely difficult to tune the circuit to the desired capacitance and keep it there. For...

    water in motor?

Even better, although I'd still be worried about the bearing journals.

    water in motor?

It may not need to be honed, depending on how much of an oil film was on the cylinders and bearing surfaces. Does need to be completely disassembled and looked at very carefully and dried.

    mk3 widebody?

Not that car in particular, but it's a widebody kit that fits over the existing body panels. Like an ABflug kit.

    color suggestions??

My car was somewhat faded when I got it. I polished it and it looked a lot better. Then I resprayed one of the quarter panels after fixing the dent that was in it when I got the car, and wow! That 3E5 red is really something when it's fresh! The car looks totally different with the paint the...

    color suggestions??

My Supra came in 3E5, and like you, I thought of repainting it in a dark metallic gray. After I looked at what would be involved in painting the engine bay I decided that Super Red wasn't such a bad color after all. It helps that my interior is a medium, not dark, gray. What color is yours?
