    TEMS question

Makes sense I guess. My shocks are definately blown on all 4 corners. Feels like a big boat on the highway riding the waves!! I just want to make sure that I still have the option of getting the Tockico Illuminas II with my TEMS. Don't want to buy new shocks that are TEMS compatible only...

    TEMS question

I have a question about my TEMS on my 88 Supra Turbo. I know that my shocks are pretty blown and want to eventually swap them out with something better. Not sure which way I want to go yet. But for now I was wondering why my TEMS does not stay on the Sport setting. It will light up on...

    Thermostat housing re-wiring tip!

I did not change anything on the sender itself. The old connector and new connector are the same, except the new one has the metal clip built into it. All you have to do is squeeze it. No more laying on the floor looking for the metal clips. Many manufactors use the same type connectors for...

    Thermostat housing re-wiring tip!

I cut the harness, because it was in terrible shape. The pin broke at the wire when I touched it. Not worth de-pinning! Plus they were nasty looking and corroded. It was much easier and cleaner to cut the old connector off and solder the new pigtail in its place.

    Thermostat housing re-wiring tip!

Like many others, the wiring on my Supra sucks! The wires are brittle and connectors are breaking or completely broken off! Especially around the thermostat housing. My cold start switch and ECU coolant sensor plugs are in horrible shape. The coolant sensor plug kept falling off causing CEL...

No Check Engine light fixed. Now Code 52.

Got my KS kit from Shaef and installed it today. I got to say its definately a nice product. I definately recommend his kits. I could have made one myself, but this made the install a lot easier. So no more Code 52!!! Took it for a test drive and it definately seems to be running a...

OMG! Shaking CPS wires works! lol

Got my new to me CPS and it seems to be in pretty good shape. The pigtail is in better shape. Wires are still hard. Inside doesn't show signs of oil. So I swapped it with mine and it seems to be running a little better. Smoother idle and so far no oil leaks!! Hope it stays that way.

Sword Wielding Student Defends Self, Kills Attacker, Likely to be Charged.

Thats awesome! Reminds me of Pulp Fiction! Here in Texas its a known occupational hazard for theives! Hell you can shoot somebody for breaking into your neighbors house while they are running away!

OMG! Shaking CPS wires works! lol

I paid $35. So it wasn't to bad. But i'm not expecting it to be in perfect shape. But still may be better than mine and it will allow me to rebuild if necessary.

OMG! Shaking CPS wires works! lol

Beleive me I know!! I hate bad wiring just as much as I do oil leaks!! Thats why I'm getting another CPS. I don't want to mess up my one and only one.

OMG! Shaking CPS wires works! lol

I'm pretty sure I installed it correctly. I was leaking out the o-ring and through the shaft. Now its only leaking out the shaft.

OMG! Shaking CPS wires works! lol

The connectors aren't in great shape, but I don't think thats the problem. The wires that go into the CPS are really hard and when you touch it when the car is running it stalls or hesitates.

OMG! Shaking CPS wires works! lol

Haha. I work right next to Railroads!!! I haven't inspected the seal inside the CPS. I've replaced the O-ring. How do you inspect the seal? All I know is that the inside keeps filling with oil.

OMG! Shaking CPS wires works! lol

Haha. I've seen many threads stating that if your car doesn't want to start just get out and shake the CPS wires. And sure enough it worked for me!! lol. Mine is leaking oil through the shaft pretty bad and the wires are not in great shape. Bought a second CPS from a member here and...

No Check Engine light fixed. Now Code 52.

Tried resetting the ECU and still got CEL. I then made sure that the plugs were not loose and the rear one was. So I pushed it in and got it to snap on, but still got code after resetting ecu. So i'm being lazy and i'm ordering a rewire kit from Shaeff. Wish me luck!

    1/4 Mile Time's and Dyno's Stock/Moded

Common sense must not be that common!! Reaction Time only matters if you are actually racing the person next to you. You can sit at the lights for 10 seconds and try to get the perfect launch and still have the same ET.

    1/4 Mile Time's and Dyno's Stock/Moded

Reaction Time has nothing to do with 1/4 mile times. I usually use Dragtimes.com to get an idea of what cars run in the 1/4 mile and what they are capable of.

No Check Engine light fixed. Now Code 52.

Good point! I'll try that, but i'm sure i've pulled the fuse for something else after I plugged the KS wire back on. I'm sure its my crappy wiring. I've already broken like 4 plugs since i've gotten the car.

No Check Engine light fixed. Now Code 52.

Finally got around to fixing my check engine light. Previous Owners fix for CEL on was to take the bulb out!! WTF!!! Sure enough as soon as I took it for a drive the CEL turns on and its a Code 52. Which i'm not suprised because the Knock Sensor was unplugged when I got the car. I'm...

    Automatic Trans Solenoid question

I recently replaced solenoid #1 on my tranny and it fixed the problem I was having with shifting. I was not getting 1st or 2nd most of the time. Could get 2nd if I put it in low gear. With ECT unplugged I could get 1st in low and it would jump to 3rd in D. So I knew the tranny itself was ok...
