I'm swapping my Auto tranny to W58 in my 88 Supra Tubro and my crossmember isn't lining up. Is there a difference in crossmembers between the auto and w58?
Just wondering what the going rate is to get a stock flywheel resurfaced. I've gotten 2 quotes in my area. $75 and $65. Seems a little high. But I haven't had one done in about 15 years.
If anyone knows of a good place in North Houston Spring area let me know.
I'm failry convinced its the torque converter now. It starts to vibrate when coasting at a constant speed and feels like it has lack of power. It also seemed like it didn't want to lock up today at a light.
Looks like I will be posting in the wanted ads for a torque converter. Hopefully...
Sounds like more of a whining than it did before and especially under the car. It still has a rattle that you can't really hear on the video.
Fluid looks and smells normal. Atleast to me anyway. I replaced the filter and flushed it a couple months ago. Could it be overfilled? Its...
Anybody have any ideas? I guess I have to pull the trans. I would like to have replacement parts ready before I do. The noise does not seem to be going away anymore.
It seems to shift fine, but I am starting to feel more vibrations.
No it does not sound like that. I took some videos of it under car and under the hood. Let me know what yall think. Blackberry video doesn't catch the sound very well under the hood.

I've done some more reading and got under my car again and I thinking its a drive plate issue. But i'm not sure. Is there any way to inspect without dropping the tranny?
It doesn't leak any trans fluid. I just got the tranny cable properly adjusted. Shifts much nicer now. I have been having some idle issues lately that are not consistent. Sometimes its really high around 2k and I have to shut it off and back on again and it goes back to normal. Sometimes it...
My Supra 88 Supra Turbo Auto recently started making some nasty rattling noise when cold during warm up. It only happens when it revs up over 1500 rpms. And it sounds really nasty when you rev it more than that. Once it gets to normal operating temps it goes away.
At first I thought it was...
Thats not what I want to hear! Tell me it sucks, convince me I don't need it!! haha. I've been on avic411.com and i'm pretty sure if I had one I would make it work for me as well with the hacks/mods. I would probably get the X710bt though. Still waiting on the 6.5" Speaker pods though...
I just changed my plugs/wires and installed a new fan clutch. Hope this helps with my gas mileage. But probably not since i'm gunning it more, now that I can actually hear my engine instead of the fan.
I guess I have to read up on O2 sensors to see if mine needs to be replaced.
