i remember that hideous gold MK4 in Fast and Furious II had used a clear material to show off the motor. a import car magazine did a couple of runs with it,and it started to melt.

cutting sections out of the hood will definately weaken it. plexiglass will probably melt if around the turbo area.

if you stil have your restrictive intake and exhaust,adding other stuff wont matter.there IS a procedure as far as performance add-on's and what their gains might produce. just dont do things ass-backwards
