Smack him in the back of the head and tell him to write you a thesis paper on why his car broke down and the causes of it, along with possible solutions that could have prevented it... :biglaugh:
My dad constantly asks me when I'm going to have that engine built. I tell him, "one of these days, I'm focusing on the other cars at the moment, you know, the ones I drive back and forth to work?"
He's a big muscle car guy, but it going soft. I helped him build an '86 mustang GT with GT40...
Check around in our members section for people close by you, they may have a spare engine that they'd part with. There's a guy in my state (too_stand) who has tons of supras.
I had one of those not too long ago. She told me, "Go play with your little cars." So you know what? I did. ;)
Ahhh, so much less stress and more money to put into something else now :D
Use this as a good starting point: Stock step, replacing the exhaust with a full 3" catless turbo back will get you on average 30-40 HP depending on your motor's condition of course.
I'm having most of my pieces welded together. There's a coupler at the t-body, right before the headlight, two at the IC, one on the lower pipe, and one on the turbo.
I have no flow divider in mine, but it's the larger version though.... :dunno:
I still have my stock oil cooler in for the time being, but I unbolted it and moved it straight back towards the radiator and on an existing bolt/hole.
My cousin used the cooleeze lower hard pipe, you can buy it without having to buy the full upper kit also....
I used 2 45 degree bends on mine, but I also have a different IC, but looking at speed source's pipe, it's almost identical to mine, except it's a smaller diameter.
How many times has this been pointed out now?
Maybe people will see this and start to understand that foam air filters don't belong on cars, keep them in fourwheelers where they're suppose to be...
