I have experienced black sooty deposits on my exhaust tip before,that was due to a IC leak. Check your hoses. Do a extensive search because running it like that will kill your O2 sensor as well.

i used a smaller diameter tubing that was on a fish tank sweeper,it was about 1/2 inch,and i duct taped it in the wet vac tube. works like a charm
