You, Sir, have Euro CC (we had pre and post 89 with sliders, no digitalism), the USDM CC will NOT work :) We have the "brains" in the CC unit itself, the Americans behind the dash (or was it the other way around). Now you have a nice unit to decorate your wall with I guess :). It was covered...

You problem is probably in the Climate Control Unit :) On our Euro type units there are often cold junction problems. Take it off and look at the electrical schematics on the back (both plates). For a LONG time I didn't know whats up (a week at -20*C suckkkkked...) till an electrician looked at...

Hmm...I have that hose also with a new cylinder and nothing's leaking. Once though, I lost the mastercyl reservoir full of clutch fluid. Just like that ( I think at least, didn't check it probably so couple a weeks before it happened)... wonder if that could be it?

I must say it's a cool idea. Though yes, I wouldn't understand it from driving behind.
