got another egr since a mating surface cracked and broke off, got my new pistons and now im just waiting on the bearings to be delivered and my turbo to get back from dm
i think the cam gear cover would be cool, a front lip (i think ive seen one before) and i know this has been brought up before the side moldings would be cool but i would like to see how it looks first that could be a hit or miss
oh hmm if they are that much, thats not bad i might just pick up 2 new ones instead of refinishing these since it will cost a little bit to powdercoat these
since the engine is out i was stripping a few things and going to have them powder coated and when taken off the tems covers or caps whatever its referred to as has a foam gasket between then and the cars engine bay itself
now being that this gasket thing is 20 years old the outer area is...
i was checking out the npr pistions also to do a .020 over driftmotion has them on their site so they are not some knock off or cheaper version but i believe many on the forum here have use them, maybe they will say something
some other goodies i have for assembly
goodyear belts
hose techniques silicone vacuum hoses
aem wideband
aem boost controller / gauge
purolator fuel filter
LOL he was like (maybe because he is a mustang owner :dunno: haha j/k)
"you should have gotten a narrow band gauge, wide bands are useless for boost" im not really sure why and where he was getting at with that
ok so just hold on to it for down the line, i can still use it as a gauge when not tuning for doing a pull or a possible ride down to the track just to keep a eye on things but for cruising on the highway its not really useful correct me if im wrong
the other bung in my dp is pretty close to...
oh haha i was talking about a gauge but i guess that would just be a light show so nevermind
reason i asked this question is because i already have a wb but i might return it if possible since i don't need it at this point, or i could just put in on (the ddp i have has bung for it but this...
oh ok thanks for the info, i do plan on doing the lex afm injectors and such later so maybe it will be more handy then
what narrow bands are out there i haven't seen any, but maybe this is because i haven't looked, any ones recommended?
hmm so would it be wrong to use it for a tune and then daily driving? (except to keep and eye on things if doing a pull or something)
and im referring to the aem wb
a buddy of mine told me not to use a wideband and that i should use a narrow band he said they were useless for boost which i don't believe, it was to my understanding that the wideband was the better choice for a tune and for daily use
if you guys need anymore info i can let you know
my goal...
you should have waited to order the hg
you need to have the head and block machined to know what amount of material was taken off and then compensate with the hg
it pretty much almost broke in half but its the line in the far right in the picture and im looking at the parts list and am not completely sure which one it is (its the one thats coming off that hard line from the bracket thing)
anyone know which part number that would be for a 89 turbo
oh and does anyone know what hose that is coming off the power steering reservoir like off the holding bracket? (far right) it needs to be replaced it almost came apart
i havn't updated in a while but i have some updates, engine is out and the engine bay is getting a good cleaning which is coming out very well so i don't think i will have to paint it
im pretty much done gathering parts that i have been doing for a while, just waiting for 2 things that should...
