Your having a severe vibration at 2000rpm? Unbolt the converter and it's gone?
I hope for both our sakes having the converter gone threw fixes the issues.
Well converter was cut open, loosened a little and refreshed and nothing was found to be wrong with the converter.
What else could cause an engine rpm vibration. It feels like something heavy. I'm gonna check the mounting holes on the flexplate to make sure there all the same spacing from the...
Just called ATI. They checked the balance and doesn't seem to be out of balance. F*ck.
They haven't cut it open yet though so I'm hoping there's still a chance there going to find something wrong with the insides that is causing my vibration.
I know lots of people that blow those apart with not so much power. Thats the only problem. The TH350 is proven reliable when beat up with high power launches. There also cheap to fix and i dont need an expensive controller anymore.
If i could just get it working right haha.
Hopefully wheni...
More advance cools egts. What kind of boost pressure are you running? What turbo? What ems?
I see 1550-1600 at the inlet of the turbine housing on my car at 20psi t70 and IMO very safe (retarded) ignition timing.
Too big and hog too much power. The th350 is muc tighter then I thought it would be. The bellhousing and the pan rail are massive compared to the stock a340e.
The AFM cannot account for density, That is the problem with the stock AFM after the turbo.
As BIO Said GM MAF sensors will work properly. AFM's sense CFM flow. The difference is when under pressure the amount of oxygen in a volume of air can vary drastically. At 15 PSI theres double the oxygen...
Turbo pressure code is fuel cut. Boost most likely spiked or because of the intercooler pipe leaks it didnt spike, but the AFM frequency signal was high giving a false sense of overboost to the TCCS.
When I called ati they said they usually don't have Any issues with the alignment and to try un bolting the converter from the flexplate to see if it's the motor or flexplate.
I havnt called them back after finding I have no vibration after unbolting the converter. I'll call them today and see...
Static timing is a reference for the 8860 to know where the trigger is located relative to crank rotation. Static timing is completely irrelevant to your timing map.
The stock TCCS needs the timing to be set because when the engine is running its under the assumption that the trigger is 10...
