Not really a mbc thing. My mbc holds 20psi perfect. Only problem I ran into is pressure drop across my ~24x12x4 intercooler over around 19psi at high rpm. I Routed the mbc pressure line to just before the throttle body and it was back to solid. Now the mbc regulates the turbo to keep the...
Stall is relative to power input. It could very well be rated at 3200 but if your not making the same power they rated it for it wont make it there. I had a SIP 3500 stall in my car when i had the 7M (i actually still have it now that i think of it) and it only really made it to 3200. Wasnt...
Thanks! Yea the guy that runs the dyno at MM was cool. Thats why i went there. He actually talked to me like it was my car and we could do things the way that i wanted to.
For a basic setup like you got that's not bad. That turbo is designed for higher boost. That turbo on my cummins makes 35 psi with the stock internal gate.
I would go with a manual boost controller. I have a really old "Joe P" boost controller on my car and it's solid.
What intercooler do...
Nice write up on the seat install. I thought there was more weight to be saved by swapping seats. I thought the stock seat was closer to 80-90lbs. For 44lbs i dont think im in any hurry to do something like this.
How come you want to change the arms so badly? If you do energy bushings your stock arms will be essentially upgraded. There just metal arms and there not weak.
Anyone have any pictures of how they look shining down a road? Long range pics would be nice to see.
Any of you guys that have these ever get flashed by oncoming traffic?
There is no simple answer. You could spend a thousand bucks on "upgrades" and when all said and done not notice any difference.
You want good ride quality and a slight drop. And you said you don't have any real plans for the track.
With that in mind forget the arms. Get bushings and...
My car (luckily, I'm in NY) doesn't have much rust either, but it seems pretty Comon that the eccentric bolts fuse to the inner bushing sleeves. Can't tell by looking at it. If you loosen the nut and turn the bolt it will spring back to where it was if the bushing is fused because it's twisting...
I think something that should be noted with coilovers is that you need I have them set up right to have them ride the way you want. Adjustability is only as good as how it is tuned.
For instance, standalone vs piggy back. If your looking for a mild power increase, then piggy back would best...
IF your not looking for the track performance then why not just go with lowering springs and replacement struts? I know you said you want to lower the car but i have stock springs and KYB struts and the car rides great.
IF you went with mild lowering springs and a good quality strut i think you...
Yea i figure a RHD passenger seat would bolt right in as a driver side seat in a LHD car. Just gotta find one. Wonder what the weight difference is. Gotta be pretty decent.
Would it be possible to get a non power passenger seat from a RHD car and bolt it in so it looks stock without the weight in the driver seat of a LHD car?
Yota: Thanks dude!
Pirate: All of them were on the diff before it started making noise. Once It started screaming I stopped. Didn't know I had a problem till then. :(
Thanks man! Bone stock 2JZGE, with bc272's springs and retainers and a 1.8mm head gasket. A Precision 6466, custom FFIM, and 3" downpipe to a 4" exhaust.
Can't wait to fix my diff and go back. Hoping for 550-600 on 25psi.
