With how loud that sucker is, i'm willing to bet you're definitely losing some spool! Seems like that would cause some serious turbulence!

    Jaguar_5's 87 Turbo Build

A Little update, i finished installing Bigaaron's exhaust stud upgrade kit, with the larger size studs, even though all my threads were fine. The problem is, i had to drill out and remove the metal rings around the 2 lower holes for the gasket to fit over the studs, the other holes all fit. I...

what do I need in a rebuild?

For your goals, stock internal and valvetrain is just fun, like everyones been saying! Go with ARP Rod bolts and main studs for insurance, and then ARP headstuds (or bolts) and a MHG, and make sure everything is prepped to a low enough RA for the MHG you select! $5,000 for having someone...

Seriously now, how heavy is a mk3 turbo?

I'm guessing he was going to the dump to drop that stuff off, weighed in on the way in & out. Of course everyone on here says to get the Supra, this is SupraMania.com!!! That being said, I am just as biased, get the Supra, it's an amazing car with enormous potential, good looks, and it's...

New computer visualization project for engine data - tuners, give your opinions

I don't have one yet, but lots of people here are running MAFT-Pro, and sounds like it's perfect for your target demographic, since anyone spending much more will have a full blown EMS, and will probably already have these features you're trying to develop. I will definitely be purchasing...

Three weird problems with my Supra...

The sputtering on downrev is probably from other holes in your exhaust, or a leak somewhere. Also, it doesnt sound like a very good idea to rev it up to 4 grand right after you start her up, you need to let the oil warm up

New computer visualization project for engine data - tuners, give your opinions

I think shooting for the stock setup is a good idea. However i think having the option for mating it up with a MAFT-Pro, would be better, a nice touchscreen possibly would be awesome as a interface / display, you could be really clever and find a way to have it slide in instead of the ash-tray...
