Unless you have a CARB sticker for it, they can fail you for it. Most people wont give a shit unless you have modified the EGR, Charcoal Canister, or any other emmisons device.

check for vaccum leaks, also what is the idle? choppy, smooth, what rpm? Id do a fuel filter in case the previous owner ran crappy gas and clogged it up.
i have a full turbo motor already. Im just wondering whats required to run the n/a motor? Can i just swap all the gte electronics, wire in a maftpro and go from there?

o2 sensors dont care what gas you use, it measures the difference between the ambient o2% and the o2% in your exhuast which creates a small voltage (the richer it is the higher the voltage). Not sure that the alcohol itself would damage the o2 sensor. As long as just co, hc, nox, co2 and o2...
