Updates coming soon! Ive been working on it, just been too busy to completely finish it and post progress. Should speed up now since im done with school for the semester! Will probably post up pics tomorrow! :)
Yeah, two threads is unnecessary when it could be solved in your previous one easily.

The first set of "devices" I posted was for the mechanical conversion he asked for some info on.
Then in this part (below) Where i was replying to him saying that he had a electronic sensor, not a mechanical gear. I only stated that he MAY need the converter to get the signal to the right pulses...
You. Could've. Just. Said. That. In. Your. First. Post. Instead. Of. Being. A. Douche. About. It.
And I was still just explaining the "Mechanical conversion" route. Never really input on using the Toyota sensor he already had.
Look at it this way.. if you had just said that he could just plug...

2jz-gte head flows more, but the 2jz-ge exhaust side looks to be similar/close.
Ported for ported though, seems to be about the same or close.. again
How are my posts that point him to a known working mechanical to electronic speedo configuration conversion "redundant and useless"? Way to be on your high horse there Ricky Bobby (ifyouaint1sturlast), also doesn't really promote forum discussion by saying things like that.. You did notice that...
I would guess you can make that one work, but i think you still may need that Dakota speedo converter thing to get the right signal/pulses. Could just plug in the Toyota one and see if it works?
I wanted to do a 240sx 1jz swap a while back so heres what I remember for doing that. Im sure its fairly similar.
You have to get this -

Thats the speed sensor that will convert from toyota speedo gear to a...
Theres 2 vacuum lines from the intake manifold that go to them. Ill try to get a picture of mine tomorrow (if i can remember) if you decide to keep it.
What I got done yesterday.
Extend alternator wire to other side. Took a slight different approach than usual, lets see how well it works.
Fixed the O2 sensor Wire location for the downpipe.
Found some washers for the throttle cable and got that mounted.
I got my harness back last sunday...
Got this done over the weekend.
^^ Normal studs for the thermostat place didn't work, i had to change to bolts to be able to take it off with the manifold on.
Will be trying to finish it up by Tuesday, depending on when I get my DM shipment.
Yeah the RA spec is different, and the Cometic "smoothness" (or RA spec) requirement was less than any of the other MHGs. Honestly id get it machined with ANY MHG, if you cant then go stock or similar. haha
But when I did my headgasket, I literally spent like a full day cleaning the head/block...
Not quite. The Cometic if I remember correctly, doesn't require AS smooth of a machined surface (different RA specs for the different MHGs). Ive always heard that the Cometic are THE MOST forgiving MHG. I've heard of a few people being able to run the Cometic without any machine work and just a...
Sorry for the lack of updates, ive just been working at it. Throwing parts at it whenever I can/get them. I have some more things I need to get started on so ill get some pics similar to the current ones of that as well. =p Everything has been budgeted out and all/most parts are already here or...
Alright some updates, with just pics in order. Dont feel like commenting much. =p
So this is what the motor looked like when I got it. It was actually completely wrapped in black plastic and strapped down with steel straps. It was very well secured to the pallet, but one of the straps kinda...
I just recently blew my 7m, and im currently going 1j. But my original intentions were 2jz-geT. My options were 2jz-gte,1jz-gte,1jz-gteVVTI, and of course 2jz-geT. But for the 2jz I couldn't find one with a R154 (no shit.. lol) so that was out cause I wanted to replace my bad r154, with the 1jz...
My Bosch doesn't/never made this sound although i believe i have a Porsche Bosch BPV. As I recall there's two Bosch versions people commonly put on our cars, one is from a saab and one from a porsche. The Saab one has always been known to "hoot" or make a "wooo" sound. While the Porsche one just...
