yes. do some research fool!
stock headgasket is QUITE good and even with moderate boost levels is just fine. most of the construction of the composite gasket is now metal after all of the revisions....but without the surface requirements. I do have a pretty good RA value head, that could...
lol don't worry about the oil filter guys... I know what I'm doing. in my defense, it's actually a tough guard which has a decent anti-drainback valve in it. there's no way the cardboard end cap will fail within 20 minutes.
wix filters and castrol for the rest of the summer after the flush...
had a great day today... lots more work done by all! same guys back again, and tons of stuff done! shawn worked on the tranny, intake insulators and helped with the motor. nick cleaned allll day and painted the parts that needed it! and jamie was jumping around doing different projects, and most...
I started working at 7:00 today on the crank scraper. I wasted $40 worth of gasket maker and spent, well....an incredibly long time fitting the crank scraper. i! actually took three tries (sealed and torqued) before it fit perfectly....and that means scraping, sanding and brake cleaning each...

I want to see how long the bar aluminum lasts. this is the only polished part in the engine bay, so it should be easy to maintain.
I have clearcoated things n the past with the best clearcoat I could find I used glisten PC made by restomotive (POR-15 guys). super expensive...I had my wheels...
It's been a long time coming, but they're done. My roomate gave me a hand tonight and painted the head for me along with the AFM etc...looks great! here are the covers! The black paint is POR-15 engine enamel too. everything that is steel on the engine got POR-15'd, aluminum painted too. :D :D

well, surprise surprise...I didn't get as much accomplished today as I wanted to!
but I did get all the sanding and the first stage of polishing done on the valve cover. it only needs about another 45 minutes worth of work and it will be done, but I've got to get to sleep so I can work...
