    Project 5l_eater

Theres stuff called penetrating lubricant which 9 times out of 10 will free up rusted bolts. You have so much time and effort tied up in this build, dont start cutting corners. Your ride wont last if its not done right. Ive seen this time and time again..

car is burning oil on start up?

Small electronics blade screwdriver and white grease, works great for re-installing retainers. No fingers to get hit if spring pops out of compressor either.

car is burning oil on start up?

+1 START TESTING! Do a compression test dry then wet. <---very simple, the TSRM will give you the exact instructions to follow. This doesnt take long and then you can start crossing things off the list of could be's. It is possible to change valve seal w/o removing the head (not sure with...

car is burning oil on start up?

I know of people who have built motors and never replaced the old valve seals then paid for it a couple months down the road. He had to dig into the engine again to replace them. Then eventually I think the motor blew up since he had no friggen idea what he was doing when he built it. :nono:

Dont forget to mention EGT's go through the roof, its all being able to drive it correctly and not find the sweet spot in the pedal where knock or melt down can factor :aigo:

car is burning oil on start up?

Did you rebuild the head on your engine and replace valve seals 3 months ago too along with rings+turbo? Would hope you did anyways. That mustang racing would be hard on rings+turbo, they wont last long either under heavy abuse.

500 rwhp on stock headgasket and bolts.

Seeing this makes me much more comfortable with my power goals. Just not sure on the life of the engine under a decent amount of abuse..

    Muspra project

Thats a really neat build! How much does your muspra weigh after dropping in the 7m? I imagine its alot lighter then the MK3 chassi. Your time on the eigth with pooched clutch is decent too.

    Not happy at all

Try and look around and keep your eyes and ears open. Ask questions about your car in off ways so no one really clues in to you digging for information. Once you find out who the exact person is, try and get an in with them till they are comfortable with you and are completly in the dark that...

chipped piston can still function correctly?

That deck is deff way too rough, looks like a belt sander job for sure. +1 on piston with that chip should be replaced, could even have fractures from the impact since being cast.
