Taking in nitrous once its passed through the ic seems rather hoaky. Rather hard to tune maybe, never experimented with it so whos to say. If anything just try out the spray on the ic using c02 or nos. Co2 is most deffanitly cheaper, we sell nos for cost at $7 per lbs. Another advantage to doing...
Ive searched around but have come up with any info on shimming oil pumps on 7mgte's. Is this a worth while mod to do and what all is involved in doing it? My crank bearings are to arrive on friday so id like to figure it out before then. Any info or pointers on this would be great.
Thanks,
Chris
Spraying an intercooler with No2 would be a deffinate advantage. By basically freezing the IC the charge air temps would drop dramatically. Like figgie said you might run into cracking of intercoolers by spraying them with no2.
I have seen numbers for ic sprayers on snowmobiles. ie. under 18...
Brake clean/contact cleaner is a great product to use for all kinds of cleaning. Just be sure to keep it away from most rubber material. Tends to make it expand larger then its supposed to be.
+1 on that, if you can get the seal out w/o damaging the machined sealing surface on the crank or...
haha sounds like you had a great time in your tercel too. Like I said its to bad this is the only video I have of this beast. Ive gone through a full set of tires and 2 rims from hitting stuff/letting buddies drive when Ive had a little too much to drink. Although mines more like an 85 and 86...
Rear main seal replacement would definatly be a peace of mind. If its fairly new it should be ok as long as it wasnt heated to the point of melting. Somewhere around 250 degrees should be alright. Maybe just inspect the lips and spring on the seal to determine.
From what I recall the pan will...
Agreed. and is deff much more original than a 240, ae86, or a 7. I bet the steering spacers help out alot with the steering angle. Plus high rev power from the 1J would be iceing on the cake.
Its great to see a mk3 out there reppin the drift scene. Im lovin the stance of your ride. Cant wait to see this beast after body and engine rebuild :D
Edit: Found a couple pictures and another video :)
After many crash's, bash's, smash's, jumps and burnouts it still lives on :)
Too bad this is the only video I have of the beatings..

Its been a while since Ive updated. Ran into a wall waiting for crank and rod bearings from toyota. Supposed to arrive on the 15th of this month. Fingers crossed.
bahahahaha :biglaugh:
But seriously, do it right upbeat you will be so much more pleased with what you have when its right. Your bov probly doesnt make any noise because of massive boost leaks in the ic piping.
Use the FIPG on the valve cover itself, place rubber gasket into the valve cover. Then use a thin layer of grease between the gasket and the head. This will insure a leak free seal :)
Remove the stock BPV and two rubber hoses. Plug the hole on the 3000 pipe. Get yourself a recirculation fitting for the sqv and route it back to where the stock BPV connects to acordian pipe. Shorten up that vac line going to the sqv too, thats way too long.
