If I remember correctly its 3% power loss per 1000 feet. With a boosted vehicle you can turn up the boost more to compensate for the power loss due to air density.
Great build you have going here, lots of awesome fab work. Loving the huge turbo also :biglaugh:
Keep us updated on this im curious on how your tune turns out once your ignition problems are solved!
Which stinger EMS would be best suited for the 7M?
Aaron is selling the 6860 for the 1jz --> http://store.driftmotion.com/static/i-ems6860standaloneecu.php
This is the other one on dm, description says its just like the 8860 (but what is it really?) -->...
Really now? Does the stinger have the same options as the AEM? You already brought up the point that its MUCH easier to tune with which is a big plus for me.
The haltech ems sounds like something I would use on a future project. :)
As for what turbogate brought up about the AEM for its pnp ability + price it seems to be something that would be right for me. I dont have tons of time to spend wiring in the EMS and then trying to figure out who I can...
One of the main reasons I want to go standalone is to learn it, I have played with piggy backs its time for something more indepth. Sure maft-pro offers what im asking for at this point in time. But one month down the road my goals could drastically change and then have to upgrade anyways.
The...
I overlooked the idea of spending big $$ on standalones. But, I really dont know all of whats out there that is why I asked.. 3K is what im willing to spend on JUST the equipment, tuning is separate.
No, I will not being doing a big hp tune myself for the first time, that would be idiotic...
I was looking previously into going with maft-pro for a tuning device but found it to be short coming of abilities since being piggy back. I want more then what any of the piggy back systems can offer. After some pondering, standalone has come to the table. Now heres where the choices start...
Well I figured since I havent posted anything for some time now ill throw up some pics of that latest stuff I did.
Been stuck for a damn long time now! friggin crank and rod bearings. They should be on their way too me within this week. BIGGGG thanks to Mark from Vancouver, Wash. for finding...
Got ahold of Mark today, got my parts on order now :evil2:
They should be shipped out somtime this week to me. Within the next 2 weeks I should be assembling the 7m :biglaugh: Oh and by the way Marks a great guy and good to deal with!
Alrighty well I tried calling Champion and it wouldnt go though "call cannot be completed from your area" so I need to locate a non-toll free number from them. Im going to look for Marks number in the mean time and give him a call also.
