40 + 40 * 0 + 1 = ?
Opinions, a little debate going on among some friends and I.
I say 1, others say 41 and yet others say 81....
My windows calculator says 1, my desk calculator says 41.
odd...
I'm most worried about the heat shield on the turbo. Powder coat or not, I have doubts it'll take that kinda heat and cool cycling. Mine didn't. Very nice bay though. Funny how a car always feels, better after a good wax, clean, once over etc.
I had to drive my car back from the mountains once with no thermostat, I had developed a serious boiling over/too hot issue and had no choice. The car never reached operating temp (which was better than boiling over and having no water in the engine....but, it is in fact really bad for your...
One thing I feel like adding in here is how much I disliked the stock fluid filled mounts. Partially because of how they seem to tear easily if you are running elevated power levels and because of how "squishy" they are allowing the motor to move around too much. The metal clad MKIV mounts do...
Did the hole cause any internal moving bits to get pinched, jammed, poked or otherwise made unhappy in any way? A pic would help alot. I would swap the block for another of the same myself. Less headache that way. I have concerns about your other "good" bits being damaged in a yet unforseen way.
Possible you may be running the really squishy fluid filled motor mounts. The allow the whole drivetrain to move around too much IMO. Is this when you are accelerating? During wheelspin? All the time? It could be your exhaust just touching the tranny, had this myself once. But constant and none...
Man, I live in the same city and you won't catch me ripping around in my car. Gravel, salt, slush, ice, packed snow....not the proper place for any Supra of any kind. Especially since you may not be so used to your newly "elevated" power. Just be careful man, I wanna see the car in one piece...
And more importantly, is the hydrophobic property of this lubricant unique? It's ability to repel water seems unreal. Or is it really not all that special?
Way back when I was running my fcon/cpv etc. setup Reg had a HKS EGT guage and sensor setup and wired in for me. I think it is a fairly decent way of "watching" to see if your temps get out of hand or anything. I'll have to research this cht thing mentioned. See ya tomorow.

OOps, sorry for the inaccurate OD data! :)
And just so there is no confusion here, we are not saying 92,000KM, not even 9200KM, 00,092KM!
I'm betting if you walked in with 35-40k you could talk them into parting with it.
I bet anyways.
If you are referring to Reg Reimer, than you simply cannot go wrong there. Seriously worth every little penny spent. He was the exclusive hands on guy for the majority of my 7M, HKS life and after the fcon/vpc/evc from Reg I never once had to tweak, mess with or fiddle with it ever again. It...
The other thing I initially found with the Q45 TB that took a little getting used to was how "touchy" or "twitchy" your pedal became. I suppose due to the amount of air coming in.
Yes, I was talking about what I bought my car for new in 1990. And yes, I am the original owner.
The car you are referring to is still there, I believe they are asking 50k CDN for it, it has 16km total on it and the plastic from the factory is still on the seats. And no, they do not allow test...
