loosen the engine mounts and unbolt the tranny from the body. put a jack under the tranny and let it down slowly. get a 3 foot extension, and a ratchet and go to town from above the tranny ;)
has anyone tapped these holes before? a friend was saying something about there being an insert for these in the body... i just want to get some advice from somebody whos ran into this problem
the contactor or whatever in the starter is most likey at fault. youll have to pull the starter. somebody else whos done this should chim in here soon to give you the whole details on it.
no, you use the non turbo clutch and flywheel, because its a non turbo tranny, so you would just bolt it up to the 7mgte engine. but you are prolly better off going the na-t route.. unless you got a bunch of cash and time on your hands :D
if your close to stock on power mods the na cams (intake) will gain ya a few ponies also, so you would be fine swapping the head and not worrying about taking out the cams.
heh... before my build i hit right under 40 psi tops when engine was warm. funny, the oil only got cooled on cold start.ill be switching over soon to a much better cooling system for sure
