    Operation Daily Driver 1uzfe 88 MK3

Been working on the exhaust... Mig welding it for now, but I will run over it with the tig to flatten out the welds and make it look prettier. I am going for Dart Izumi (see google images) style exhaust on this... Continue with the budget build, two glasspacks were selected. This is my first...

    Operation Daily Driver 1uzfe 88 MK3

Update time! I have hooked up fuel lines, heater lines, power steering lines, coolant lines, worked on my wiring a bit and it started first try. Cha-ching. Few minor kinks to work out, but the thing starts up perfectly. Could not be happier. Some pics for now before it starts to move under...

That seems to be the issue with this swap, is getting the fuel pump to work with an RPM signal instead of always on. I just jumpered mine to start it, I have not found a great way yet.

    Operation Daily Driver 1uzfe 88 MK3

... Worked on misc stuff, but basically my wiring is all hooked up, the car cranks now. I need to wire up the fuel pump and fuel lines, and figure out a way to ground the ignitors (i dont have that handy dandy mounting bracket they come with)... Probably a few more misc stuff, but if I do...

Some crude, strong and very effective solid mounts. Angle grinder and a 115v miller tig welder made them. Yes these were made in my apt complex :)

    W58 Mount Differences?

If you use the wrong year mount on a MK3 W58, will it position the transmission in a different location? My W58 pressed really far back against the hole, I think im using a pre 89 mount on a post 89 transmission. Let me know Matt

    Operation Daily Driver 1uzfe 88 MK3

Well a bit of an update... I finished all the patch harnesses for the wiring. The engine is nearly complete and ready to aside from a few small things not imperative for it to run. I installed my LS400 brake setup finally, with a 25mm spacer. It has about 1mm of clearance, I got super lucky...

ARP (new) Main Stud Kit 7mgte

lol this is rediculous. I was told by a dealer that these were main studs but everyone else is telling me head studs. They came with the car, I have no idea, but its def. for a 7mgte. Im going to close this until I get a definite answer tonight.

    Identify these ARP bolts...

Any idea which one is longer? These look (at least to me) too long to be main studs and just the right size for head studs.
