You will need more ram, and probably another video card. This game sucks WAY more power than Doom 3, or Far Cry. It's a great game, just really power hungry.

Ooops, for some reason I missed that fact. Ok, new advice, get a new video card, then try to play it. 9800 pros are great if you are on a budget. They're still rather beefy and have come down in cost big time. I recommend the H.I.S. 9800pro. Newegg.com used to have it, but I just checked...

My computer is an old PIV 1.5 with 512megs of pc800 ram and an ATI 9800 pro. I can run it, it does lag sometimes, but it is most definately playable. Try playing after you reboot your system, and turn off any programs that are runiing in the background, that should help.

F.E.A.R. is an awesome game. Great visuals, great action, great suspense, great creepy things, and that is just from the demo. Oh wait, I forgot to mention the AMAZING A.I.! I am very much looking forward to this game. P.S. From what I can tell, Alma, (the dead girl) isn't dead, just WAY...

I believe that Defiant7M treated his block with Hard Blok and after sonic testing determined that he could go to 86mm, though he chose 85mm because the extra mm wouldn't make that much of a difference and because they were having trouble finding the right size rings.

Raising the compression decreases spool time. I think a bigger downpipe will increase lag but offer more top end. If the new plennum is forward facing it should help with throttle response. There's some input.
