hahah kris is at school, that bastard. I've put the 1jz back together, all i need left to do is reattach the tranny and tighten the crank pulley bolt. I dont have a torque wrench so i need to get one from sears that'll do 230 ft-lbs. And i gotta rewire the body plugs.......man. Moe help me...
I'm looking at the 1jz-gte.us page and looking at the wiring diagrams to rewire the body plugs, but the page says the body plug diagrams are for jza70 to ma71. I was wondering if the body plugs are the same for ma71 and ma70.
Is there a website that shows which wire is what, so I can map out the jza70 harness body plugs to the ma70 body plugs? Or is it the same in this instance?
What??? If you drill the hole, you dont have to extend anything? lol....I'm extending the body plugs on my harness and i'm going to drill a hole in my firewall. Sounds like I'm doing something extra I dont need to be doing. And I think my drill bit is going to be too small, 2 1/16". Not to...
haha its me, alex, the guy with the black n/a. the one that said i was going 1jz like a year ago. i helped you with ur fuel pump a while back.
hey moe, when will you be done with the lift? I'm going to need it soon so i can finish. plus you can help me with my fusebox wiring lol
lol its not a slump, its the oil sump pan. aristo is a front sump and the supra is a rear sump i believe. I may not be correct so someone else come in and tell me if i'm wrong or not.
and i heard you were going 1jz from kris, mine should be done soon............................soon lol
you changed the oil right after running for a couple of minutes after the first startup? is that a good idea, or a waste of oil? doesn't seem like a bad idea knowing how long this thing has been sitting
Alright, I've almost done with my 1jz swap but I havn't been able to really find what exactly I'm supposed to do right after finishing the swap. This is right before turning the key. I heard that I should remove the EFI fuse and crank the car in order to get the turbos oiled?
Also what oil...
Yea it's gonna be the slave if your reservoir is full and if the pedal has no resistance. I'm surprised that part broke on the way home, at least you had supplies with you right? BTW I'm the asian guy with the black mk3 you met at the taco place on tuesday. Replacing the slave cylinder takes...
I'm pretty sure most of us are looking for an easy replacement that improves cooling. Something that will allow us to drop it in easily and use the stock fans. Well that's me anyways. Wacky waving inflatable flailing arm tube man!!
Seriously? It looks as though like a gasket that's metal or something in the TSRM. I have silicone gasket maker sitting next to the engine that I used for the rear main seal. Is Kris at your house right now?
Lol, upgrade to silicone hoses. I finally got my crank pulley out but I dont think I'm going to change the front main seal since it looks as though I need special gaskets to replace if i do. And if you look at the crankshaft, it looks as though the tool dug into it lol.
