Jay, powder coat is pretty dam tough! Its hard to scratch or chip. Certainly more durable than standard paints. Its also supposed to be very chemicla resistant compared to paint also, though i havent tested it yet with anything other than acetone, which does soften the podercoat alot. I will...

All chrome powder coats are single stage... and they all will fade over time when exposed to UV light. But how often do i leave the hood of my car open? Putting a clear cot does help protect it,and helps it shine a bit more. I did not clear the PS res, but i plan to clear just about everything...

My Falken FK-452 i use on my car are great, good wet traction, pretty quiet, and have a decent sidewall. And they were only $115 a peice for a 265-35-17.... I got them from Vulcantire.com and they arrived in about 4 days.

Go to any local audio shop and buy your self an ANL 150-200amp fuse and block. Its a smart idea to fuse the wire, so you dont melt anything...
