    1st dyno w/ 7m installed

Yes, all plugs get manually gapped (it's in my list, "shorter & longer gaps") The miss isn't a high end miss, it's most notable at part throttle (well before boost begins) but it's only slight. My passengers can't feel it, but since I know what I'm feeling for, I can tell. It's slight enough...

    1st dyno w/ 7m installed

Good info! I've always felt the #'s from this particular dyno to be inflated. ....which suddenly jogs my memory.... I went through a similar process years ago with a different Dyno Dynamics shop (which has closed down) and digging up the old data sheet, I see it too has X=1.17. It was when I...

    1st dyno w/ 7m installed

The miss is most discernable at part throttle. At WOT there's too much noise to tell, and I can't feel any hesitation. What I've tried: disconnecting temp sensor (no change) New plugs - autolite 3923 new plugs - one step warmer shorter & longer plug gaps New plug wires new CPS new TPS...

    Favorite Beer?

Piraat's Amber Triple IPA is easily the best beer I've ever had, and at 10.5% it's no slouch. It's a belgian, yet IPA, very tasty. The 10.5% really sneaks up on you as it's almost completely hidden in the flavor (which being an amber, isn't overpowering) 2nd favorite is also a belgian...

Factory specs for '91 CPS not the same

Which is why I have a '91 TSRM. Only discovered this discrepancy when I sought to save myself the effort of scanning that page and copied the online version. I am, however, finding it extremely difficult to get my hands on a CPS that falls within these specifications. Good thing 7m parts...

Factory specs for '91 CPS not the same

I just discovered the factory tolerances for the CPS differ in my TSRM vs the online TSRM. Online, I believe, is from a '90 and my TSRM is for '91. Online calls for a resistance of 140-180ohms while mine calls for 205-255 ohms. Anyone have any earthly clue as to WHY (besides just to piss me...

    drilling a 7mgt dipstick hole

Best way to do this is with the oil pan removed and engine right-side up. Wrap a rag around the closest section of the crank to catch any filings that spin away from the tip of the bit when it breaches the other side. Use the 5m dipstick tube and your oil level readings will be correct.

    7m cranks, no spark.

Test your CPS, if it's bad you'll get no spark. http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/library/TSRM/ig/IG_16.html

I take it then that you solved your 'harder to start' issue? I have no interest in venting the BOV to atm, so I'm more interested in your setup since you seem to be one of the few running draw-through. The setup sounds good, but again, I'm hesitant due to my past experience.

Yes, but you've reported mid-range lean issues and inconsistencies in tuning in other threads. Have those issues been cured? Or are you running mostly fine, dealing with minor issues as acceptable to you as-is? (BTW, none of your dyno chart postings show as images anymore. I can host them if...

    Maft Q's

I'm in a research phase, and it seems all the threads I've found stopped a couple months ago. Has there been any headway made since April? I was in on a MAF setup from SplitSecond for the Mk2 nearly 2 years ago that had high hopes but has yet to turn any solid positive results, so I'm biased...
