    FFIM design questions

That works, thanks for the clarification ;) A flush Velocity stack would be ideal.

A "stack" would be raised up, no? ;)

Upgrade my CT26 or switch to a T3 or T4?

Upgraded CT 57 (a little more reliable than anything larger), AFPR, Walbro fuel pump, Wideband, Intake (IC and hardpipes) Exhaust (3" or larger), MBC (EBC would be better), cleaned and blueprinted stock injectors, MHG, ARP hardware (studs or bolts, your choice, studs are better IMO), maybe a...

    FFIM design questions

Actually , you don't need velocity stacks, you need a smooth transition into the intake runners like Ron's, those aren't velocity stacks as they are flush with the bottom and don't protrude up and create turbulence during boost like a velocity stack would. ;) Ron's setup is the best...

Upgrade my CT26 or switch to a T3 or T4?

MDC no longer rebuilds turbos, he only sells new ones. If you want long lasting power, a T3/T4 setup would be ideal as you will not be taxing a turbo such as a Garrett GT35R nearly as much for 350RWHP as you would with say, a 57 or 60-1 trim CT26, but the first option will definetly hurt the...

    Open downpipe yes or no?

Kinda sort true... Not really ;) The turbine itself provides all the backpressure the motor needs to be driveable, everything after the turbo, well, the sky's the limit ;)

Who wants aluminum rad for $210

I have no need to further support my claims, they have been backed up with people who have more experience with racing, building, maintaining these types of motors for longer than you've possibly been alive. ;) As far as motor failures go, take some time and dig a little deeper for curiosity's...

Open DP? IMO.... NO, sounds like ass.

    FFIM design questions

Very nice debate going on here fellas. From what I've gathered so far, the velocity stacks are good for off boost scenarios here where bottom end torque will increase. However, once the intake is pressurized (boost) the velocity stacks become a restriction due to turbulence. Am I thinking...

    front facing intake

So far I've only "hear" on here from one person that's tried to fit it and they've ran into the issue of the back hitting the brake booster. There are other brake boosters that will work on the supra that may allow enough room for it to fit if this is indeed the issue... Ian, I just knew you...

Who wants aluminum rad for $210

WTF are you talking about?? An electric fan introduces more failure points into the cooling design of this car than there was to start with, not even counting the fact that the car wasn't designed for one anyways. If Toyota thought that the E-fans would work better, they would be one there...

    ISC Elimination?

Because they ultimately either get rid of the electronic, or do away with it as it's plumbed in tandum with the TB as mentioned above. The purpose there is if an aftermarket TB will be used, or they no longer want hot coolant heating up the intake air.

I asked him about the provisions that are included, still waiting for a reply.

That catch can is going to be hot, hot, hot! The oil vapors aren't going to condese well at all in that spot. The catch can needs to be a cool location to better assist the oil vapors in consensing and getting trapped into the can itself and not back into the intake pre-turbo. John, I...

    Upper radiator hose collapsing, BHG?

Time for your brother to park the car and spend some time on tracking down the problem before he really fucks something up on it.
