Buy an MBC off Dr J for $28? then you can set your boost alot more accurately. Putting to many shims on your wastegate isn't going to do it any good over time it will just fuck the diaphragm.
Its not as big as you can go on a CT but its as big as you need to go for 350 RWHP, and spool should be almost the same as for a stock CT. You can get an upgrade for $475 if you send in your core.
You can achive that with an upgraded ct-26 a 57 trim should be enough, like someone else mentioned earlier in this thread do you have the fuel and exhaust upgrades to go with the turbo??
If it was done by Toyota did they use the factory spec torque??? I would be worried if it was. Like IJ said get a new gasket and some ARP studs spend a weekend doing it and put your mind at ease. Also do what IJ said about taking pics and labling all your bolts.
If you have a code 52 it means something is wrong with your knock sensor or the wiring to it. This also will pull timing to protect your engine from damage (it will boost but you will have no timing advance) it also sounds like your running very rich.
When the engine is cold take off the radiator cap, the coolant level should be level with the bottom of the neck. Check your overflow tank is on the full level (its down by the left headlight infront of the radiator.)
Not good, you need to find where all that oil went to. Thats alot of oil to be loosing. If you have no leaks then it must have been burned or you have chocolate milkshake for coolant.
Is it stock?? If it is then more than likely its the 2 cats causing lots of back pressure preventing the turbo from boosting any further. Could have a weak wastegate spring not alowing anymore boost as well.
Lagg is a personal preferance, some people consider boost at 3500 not to be laggy but for me if I'm not seeing boost by 2200 its laggy. That is a pretty big A/R IMHO that would be laggy if your only after 400 why go for such a big turbo?? You should by the turbo to fit the job not over turbo it...
Yeh Toyota will mug you and leave you for dead, I went there for a laugh £164. Then went and got a 3 wire universal one with an adaptor for £30 works like a charm.
