don't do a swap unless you are 100% ready for one and know every last detail about the engine and hooking it up. Fix your current engine, the least you can do is sell it in a running state.

just get them to look at it while its apart, but dont fret over it, its not a big deal if your engine is already apart, that takes away half the cost right there of repairing the knock.

Worry about your hg at the moment. After that is out of the way, worry about the knock. One thing at a time....sometimes fixing one problem, fixes another.

I paid almost that much for my supra, cept mine is an 89, turbo, and had 88K miles on it, 100% stock from the muffler to the tape deck to the fuel filter. Also it was canadian, and we pay more up here. I wouldnt offer than guy any more than 2 grand tops.

Whatever I feel like at the time....Typically i run 15w40 in summer and 10w30 in winter. Castrol GTX most of the time. No synth.
