dam impressive numbers with a K&N.
i would replace that with a dry element,ive heard nothing but bad about a oil impregnated filter and our type of afm
i bet it was staged,the driver might have had his camera man buddy take the video,tried to make his own youtube video of him eluding the cops,and it went wrong,REALLY wrong
Hmmm,I always thought that the alternator supplies voltage to the electrical AND the battery.
Sounds like you might have a bad diode in the alternator,have you pulled it abd had it checked?
I'm in the market for some new ones,and was wondering what everyone else is using,and by whom.
Mine are starting to show thier age,asorted problems and the like,and they need to be replaced as they are about 20 years old.

Day after Xmas update;
went and checked the Idle Speed Control valve per TSRM,and it checked out fine.Only problem was that I didd'nt hear the "ticka-ticka-ticka" when the car completely shut down.Disconnected the connector from the one on the manifold,and connected a ISC not...
Went ahead and checked some of the wiring connections on the CPS,and found one at the connector that was reall worn. I think it might have been a multiple ground wire,(3)coming from the CPS.I replaced the the wire,bypassed the worn connector,and still am having the surge issue.
