    My New purchase

Nice find, I third the opinion on the hood, it fits horribly.

    Expensive intercooler or cheap intercooler

My whole setup cost a tad bit over $500.00, that included 2.5" hardpipes, t-bolts, 3 ply couplers, reducers where needed, bigger Spearco style replica, and this doesn't include the Synapse Sychronic BOV, HKS flange, and HKS flange adaptor for the BOV, add another $250 onto that ;).

    Expensive intercooler or cheap intercooler

:werd: IIRC the ebay intercoolers and name brand ones had near identicl pressure drops across the boards...

    oil in exhaust manifold

I'll keep that in mind, besides, I'll be the one rebuilding my motor that way I know it's done right the first time :).

No Groove on OBX Crank Pulley for Timing??

Think of how long the crank is in a straight six, pretty long, not many other motors have a crank longer than this type. The longer the crank, the more vibrations will occur with the slightest imbalance. As someone once said, "The 7M's crank spins around like a wet noodle". This is doubly...

is it safe to say my turbos dead?

Turbo's don't have seals... Check for shaft play.

I'm changing my timing belt and this is what I found. What does it indicate?

Is your battery low or something?? This has always worked for me when I've had to do some work to a motor, or taking it apart (doing this before pulling the motor makes life tons easier ;).

    BOV what's the point

I can see how automatic cars can get away with this for a time, but manuals?? Nah, the turbo will go sooner or later, and it would be later if a fast reacting, well flowing BOV is incorporated into the setup :).

    looking for a jdm

Impossible to tell unless you have it checked out. Keep the egr and maintenance up and it should pass as long as it's stock and well taken care of. It all depends on what's been done to the care modification wise, how hard the motor has been raced, and how well maintained the car is.

    cam scaring??

The best thing for you to do if you aren't planning on dumping major amounts of money into the head is to keep it, and check the clearances to make sure they aren't out of spec per the TSRM.

    cam scaring??

More clearance, less oil pressure = not so good. The material from scored cams are also going to make their way throughout the motor, also to the main and rod bearings = not good at all.

    oil in exhaust manifold

I think it's the same company I'm thinking of, the whole plant is based just about 30 mins from where I'm at.

No Groove on OBX Crank Pulley for Timing??

^ And trash the motor shortly afterwards? Pass.

*Need opinions, insight, comments, etc. Questions about a block.

Check for warpage first, unfortunately, you probably don't know if it's ever been machined before. Just follow the TSRM specs for clearances and what is considered tolerable and what isn't.

    cam scaring??

That's just going to make things worse. That's the right way to do it. An honestly, how is the timing belt being too tight going to cause scoring on the first 3 sets of cam saddles?

Jasper, as in Jasper, IN? The same company that builds Chevy's and such?

    Blow off valve experts

The car doesn't produce enough load for the turbo when free reving to make the blow-off valve actuate to where you can hear it.
