when i used bosch plugs when they ran out of ngk's, i drove myself crazy trying to figure out why the kept popping off. apparently bosch and a few other manufacturers are a tad shorter. just get some ngk's and call it a day -pete

if you have oil inside your exhaust manifold.... i would bet oil is getting by the rings. run a compression test and get back to us with the numbers -pete

after i melted my piston, i sent the injectors to RC to get inspected and flow tested. the told me #3 was way off. when i got them back and started it up, only 1.5 months later, the same one was off again... i guess their fault. but that just shows their incompetence.

making the oil lines arent too bad if you have the right tools. but they can be purchased at a few online sources. ive heard good things about the holset, but im not mistaken, the holset need an external wastegate along with a manifold.

dont ever bring your car to toyota for diagnosis. ive had bad experiences.

yea thats very likely. once the belt is lined up, you just loosen the tensioner bolt, then torque it to spec... never ever overtighten it.

your motor looks rock solid with the internals you used. but as mentioned before, you major restriction is going to be your exhaust system. the stock exhaust and downpipe are a major restriction. so even if you up the boost, you wont see great results. the mods you are putting on wont really...

12.5 under 3k rpm isnt too bad. for that split second at wot, the engine load isnt that much until you start building boost. im at 13.6 at that same rpm at wot, but im running a bigger turbo.

you will need some sore of standalone ecu... which will replace the stock ecu. a few options are stinger, aem ems, and motec. you will need to buy a wideband o2 sensor, iat sensor, boost sensor, etc as inputs to the standalone. the whole setup for each option can be very expensive, but very...
