while derk is is right abour RMS to a point, i'm not convinced he knows why or even understands what he is talking about.. no offense..
im an electrical and computer engineering major and ive seen this argued plenty of times.. there are more important stats than just RMS power handling, but...
thats what im afraid of.. i havent been able to find any "import friendly" machine shops around here, although there are plenty of race engine shops..
i just dont want to get a guy that says "why not just drop an SBC in it??"..
we need a thread that people can print out and just hand to...
well, reason for rebuild was rod knock, and reason for rod knock (obviously) oil starvation
long story short, the cross hatch definitely is not evident, and there are vertical lines on the walls...but i also cant feel any marks with my fingernail

FIX IT!! PULL THE MOTOR OR DROP THE CROSSMEMBER THIS WEEKEND AND FIX IT
i didnt and i paid for it with rod knock. mine was leaking like it had a HOLE in the pan.. and i was too stupid about supras at the time to know better. now my engine is out and i am in the middle of a complete rebuild...
believe or not i do know how to tell when a thread is old... but when its 6 pages of nail biting suspense and then he leaves me hanging like that... i must take action. :naughty:
