heheh
Don't know what to think about that.
Yeah, a few riders in this area, I would not mind seeing them get hit by a truck.
I used to be in a motorcycle community and the local crews had too many dirtbags.
Many would be banned for being crooks or idiots if they joined a forum like this and...
Yeah, I did notice that there was not much blood at all, but just a bit on your sock.
I had my index finger just about chopped off yet hardly any blood came out - weird how that works out.
I just have a scar that is hardly noticable, so I was lucky in that accident in where it happened on what...
WOW! You were not joking--it really is as bad as you described.
I check on this thread earlier and thought maybe you were exagerating, but that does look bad. I know it will heal OK, but...ouch.
Just to be sure, you work at an oil change place like Valvoline Instant Oil (I know how their...
Well, I already responded to this in PM because I did not want to push my "sales" in the open forums (I usually only PM even in the classified sections).
Anyways, in case you are new to forums and did not notice it, I sent you out a PM telling you that you can have one for only $15 bucks...
These three cats have just been given either access to the mod forum or have become moderators of more sections.
MDCmotorsports is now a moderator of not only the MDCmotorsports section, but also has the Approved group buys, Classifieds, General Discussions, Midwest Region, & Parts Reviews...
Congratulations! Baby GrimJack seems to be quite sleepy.
And your first boy has a new best friend I see.
For those that check out the pictures, GrimJack took all the pictures and is not in any of them; so the fellow you see is not him.
Beautiful car!
Well, I guess you get to drive it as if it were your own car, but not have to pay for the insurance.
On a side note, I personally would not have titled the thread as "Got a new ride today," but then, lots of people make threads with titles that I would never use.
I know...
I really love the MKIII, and not just saying that because it is cool to say it in front of other enthusiasts. Very sporty, targa top feature, all the options/loaded, very roomy (you could even sleep in it if you had to)...the perfect vacation mobile or tourer.
Things I hate about it...or...
White box is the tail lamp failure box.
It tells you if one of your lights is out.
If it is not plugged in or if you have a light out, a 'dummy light' will light up on the instrument panel for you to notice.
All you need to do is get a deep well socket that is either an 8mm or maybe a 10mm...
Well, suppose that if a machinist were to mic' them up and find that they are well within their spec' limits...would you still want to change them?
The last head I had mic'ed, had guides that easily passed.
Another machinist even told me that it would be unlikely that we would have to change...
As Justin727 stated, yep, there are gaskets between the lights and the body.
Easy deal to change them.
Very common to have the gaskets leak too.
If it were me, I would use some sealant along with new gaskets.
(That would be the most fail safe method.)
Interesting...yours are bad or worn out?
From what I gather, the 7M head rarely needs to have the guides changed.
I looked into it myself.
Have you had an honest machinist check them for their specs?
Or are you just contemplating a rebuild and wondering what they will go for?
There are two types of these Super Monitors. One for the turbo, and one for the N/A - Or at least they are labeled as 7M-GTE and 7M-GE.
If anyone wonder what it looks like, here are some pictures:

Already covered well in this thread:

If you want one, I have one for sale in my thread.
Shameless mention, I know.
From what I read, it is a direct plug and play for '87-'88.
For 89+, you need to do som wiring. Not sure about how...
Well many people have different ways about going through this and so here is what I have done:
I am now hooked up with AOL SE (Security Edition).
It comes with McAfee virus program and a firewall as well.
I get broadband with AOL (and all the features they offer) and the security features...
Nice little movie, JD!
Always liked your ride...targa, turbo, red, 5 speed, 89+ styling...reminds me of what I was aiming for!
I can't wait to show it to that Supra crazed 3 year old nephew of mine.
Fellas, if you want a direct link, this is it...
Now if I remember correctly their sizes are as follows:
2@ 30mm on the left side
1@ 35mm in the back
7@ 40mm (3 on the left side & 4 on the right side)
1 flat dish like plug in the front.
11 total (which is comprised of 4 different plugs)
The block you bought originally came with a 7M...
Yes, I do like house music, to answer the thread title.
I like lots of different types of music!
I don't feel that I am obligated to only like one type--I just like good music.
I have never met anyone who can listen to so many different types of music like I can, and I can shift from extreme...
No, I don't.
There is a funny story to those mirrors:
I bought them on eBay from Mello from his red car that he was going to build up before I even got on the forums quite some time ago.
Then I had them up for sale, and who of all people buys them? the guy that bought Mello's chassis...
