Thanks for the well wishes everyone.
As far as this whole debate starting about 'brake checking' that was not the case here. She was not following too close either. If she was, I'm sure the cop would have charged her with it, or pulled her over before the crash happened.
She was doing...
Last Thursday my sis was driving south on the 410 (just passed the 401 bridge) (for those not familiar with Ontario, 410-401 = major highways) when the vehicle in front of her slammed on the brakes for no apparent reason.
She couldn't react in time so she swerved into the left lane. When...
This is something I've always wanted to do. I envy you good sir.
With that said, should your travells bring you anywhere near Toronto, we here at the Toronto Supra Club would love to have you.
Since you are heading up the east coast, the Cabot Trail on Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia is...
Other = Late Model Honda Accord
or - Late model Audi A4
or my current DD. 03' Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. Not the most economical vehicle in the world (point in fact, it's basically shaped like a barn), but very reliable.
Household or industrial wire will 'work'. That doesn't mean you should do it. I know you want to do this on the cheap but don't skimp on wires or fuses. You NEED an inline fuse or some sort of fuse near the connection on the battery. 30-40 amp should be fine. A local hardware store might...
I wouldn't use speaker wire to temporarily power the amp. However if you used 3-4 lengths of speaker wire together to make 1 bigger wire that would give you enough to hook it up temporarily.
A fellow drummer!! Believe me, spending $$ on your drums is never a bad thing!
I didn't realize you were trying to do this on a short budget. Also I didn't mean that you didn't understand the difference between line level and speaker level inputs or that you needed to know about speaker...
Is there any particular reason for keeping the stock HU? I can understand wanting to retain the factory look but other than that?
A new HU won't cost that much and will probably sound better on it's own compared to hooking up your factory deck to an external amp.
3.5 speakers aren't meant...
I don't post on here too often but I lurk around the posts frequently.
I was heavily involved in car audio installation and competition in my late teens and early twenties and I have to say that although there is alot of good info here, Grimjack is always bang on about this stuff. I think...
I once had a similar problem. It took me ages to find it but it ended up being a bad wire. It was one of the 3 wires that come off the rad hose inlet (where upper rad hose meets the engine) If that makes sense.
Anyway, I had similar symptoms and found that wire broken. Once fixed...
Depending where the leak is coming from you might not get dinged for it. If it is leaking from the pipe that goes from the watermain to your house and is leaking before the meter, you're good. If it is leaking from anything after the meter...ouch!!
Good Luck.
I once had a toilet overflow...
I'm with Suprabad. I've had my twin 12' electric fans for almost 4 years now and no problems what so ever.
