I just sold 3 sets of TC adapters last year after they had been laying around for the past 5. It was a crank adapter and TC plate that worked with the gm bell to he adapter.
The manual valve body was just like having a clutchless manual and with the ratcheting shifter it really wasn't horrible.
Now the 3200 stall was a whole different issue. I had a t61 on the car and ran around 18-20lbs. Going from a stop was always a challenge just because it seemed like it...
The weight difference between Al and iron block is 100lbs. I wouldn't call that a balance killer.
The Al block is an easy way to shave weight but if you are going over 600hp then the iron block is hard to beat.
I buy the advance adapter bushing and cut it down to 1". The 1.5" length is too long and wont let the trans bolt up. It was meant to work with the 1" shorter input shaft on the R150.
I guess I should just have a batch machined since I have all the dimensions and drawings but I am afraid that...

Engien and trans in the car
Lots of little details to wrap up but I am confidant it will be on the road by March or so depending on how many warm days we get.
I did not take dimensions but I did sell one to a member here. I can't remember who it was off the top of my head but he did post pictures up in my build thread. I would make the adapter thicker to get the input shaft splines out of the crankshaft snout. Then you are moving the pressure plate...
To tell you the truth you actually need the adapter to be thicker to get the splines of the input shaft out of the large opening. Then you could use a 28mmx12mm pilot bearing. No matter how much you take off you will still need a custom bushing for the smaller step.
As far as dimensions you...
Don't have advance do it. They charge an arm and a leg. Find a machine shop local to you and tell them what you want. If you don't want to go to the trouble they will charge about $40 on top of the cost of the bushing to cut it down.
I have done the 1uz and am in the process of the LSx motor. They are of the same complexity as far as I am concerned. Pricing is almost the same if you go with a truck engine but parts are far more plentiful and much cheaper.
I was able to buy an 02+ z06 cam, yellow springs, and push rods...
I had this problem and it was the adjustment on the throttle rod was not allowing the IDL contacts to be made on the TPS. I chased my tail for a few weeks before discovering the throttle cam wasn't hitting the stop. I adjusted the rod and the engine ran better then ever.
