Yep.
With 14k rear springs, it wouldn't have much past 2 inches without this mod so not much has changed just the spring is properly positioned.
It's not a grocery getting car.
It was white when I had it, then my roomate had it, then he sold it to airceo13, and I'm not sure who owns it now, would be a surprise if the latest owner sucked at driving
The cutting, grinding, making bushings, sandblasting, painting etc was a good 10-12 hours of my own time.
The fabrication was about $100 but I traded my friend some tires I wasn't using.

The Originals would never get short enough because when threading the main shock body towards the bottom, the shock casing bottomed out on the bottom of the bottom tube by the bottom bushing. The only way was to run a lot of slack on the spring bottom retaining rings, which in turn...
As it says, gussets + proper welding are now in the hands of a certified welder and roll cage builder. It will actually end up stronger than stock haha.
