i recently just polished my turbo compressor housing.
I started with some like 80 grit sand paper (just with my hand) and did a good once over with that..then dropped to like 120.
Then the problems started.. Using a dremel sucks cause the attachments are so small you end up having to go back...
I just remember hearing that general rule of thumb (if you cant find actual dimensions) 1 cu ft should work... Bigger cant hurt either so its bigger anyways.
I wasnt going to have the 6x9s share..there is alot of room on the front face that isnt the sub box.

idk how bad the paint is from the pictures, but is that a bad clear coat peel or heavy oxyidization??
You still might be able to clean it up a bit with a good polishing/rubbing compound and buffer..
either way looks to be a great deal for the price and good luck..
had it been done better like a gloss finish fiberglass rear cover, a good built motor, wheels and paint it wouldnt be too bad.....for an mk3
