Wasn't it the rear swaybar endlinks that were weak? (I know the tabs are as well but I thought the major issue was the endlinks) An easy fix btw, just get a decent set of adjustable rear swaybar endlinks, there's a few vendors on this site that sell them and they are a good investment even if...
1Js and 2Js have the same rear bolt pattern. Whatever fits on the back of a 1J will fit on the back of a 2J. Many people use an R154 with both engines. As it was stated earlier, the pretty much the only thing you will need to be worrying about going from a 1J to a 2J is the 1" gain in height of...
So is there a calculator out there for this type of thing because I know my speedo is inaccurate, but I don't know by how much. Or is there an equasion I can just put the number into?
The speedo in my TTR only goes to 180km/h, but the needle keeps going :evil2:
So my top speed is whatever 255/40R17 tires, a 4.10 Torsen, R154 in 5th and 6000RPM works out to.
I keep meaning to record it with my GPS but I pulls like that in the spur of the moment.
No, spool time has to do with the exhaust side of the turbo. The GT turbine wheel "pushes" more air vs. a standard turbine wheel. Turbine refers to the intake side of the turbo.
It's cool, everyone makes mistakes. About 95% of Supra-related problems/topics/whatever have been covered here at one point or another so the info is usually readily available.
I don't know, maybe having a journal in there would keep the turbo from failing as fast as an ordinary BB turbo? Just an idea I've had floating in my head for a few months.
So having said that, would a BB turbo with 4 bearings rather than 2 (DBB vs QBB) be better longevity wise, comparable to...
Yup, open DP isn't a problem on turbo cars, the turbo provides all the back-pressure you need. Just watch for cops, they don't like loud imports; which is funny because muscle cars and motorbikes get away with stupidly loud exhausts all the time :nono:
I drive my Supra (TTR) year-round as it's my only car. I have never unintentionally lost traction without intending to in the rain or snow, or even dry for that matter. It's been stated many times before, conditions dictate the speed and which tires you should be running.
It's common sense...
Stupid f*cking mill. Dayshift Friday(6am-4:30pm), afternoon Saturday (4pm-2:30am). "Oh, and don't bother coming in on Sunday, no-ones working.... but all the guys above you in seniority are working":icon_evil. I really wanted to make this one.
Little screws on the throttle body? turn up the idle a little.
The ECU may be in limp mode for some reason, mine does that every now and then, won't rev past 3000rpm. It goes away after the ECU decides there's nothing wrong(for my car anyway).
Sweet, I'll probably get around to that in January as I've got several performance upgrades to finish first. Thanks for the info.
edit: Should probably mention that my car is RHD, pretty much the same dash as the North American MKIIIs though. Are there any known differences bulb-wise between...
