the exhaust note on the new M3's is pure sex... one got onto the freeway next me the other day hauling ass in 2nd or 3rd.

I drove a Mk. 3 a while back that had the SOGI mod, the shifting was super shitty. I would much rather have a stock shifter over that ridiculous mod. However I haven't driven one with a C's or other short throw on it.

that would be pretty sick... if i still had my old supra (or by some miracle get another before then) i'd totally consider the road trip. it would be pretty epic, especially if the runway is fairly long.

Still, i stand by what i said. This is definitely something you wanna clear with the airport, and Grim brought up a good point as well. If you get enough people together contact the local PD and see if they can put together a little meet thing. Then you can legally race the cops and show them...

Having worked at two different airports here is my advice: the best way to do that would be to talk to the people who work in the control tower (assuming there is one), either they could give you clearance or they could talk to the people who could. It all depends on the airport and how busy it...

The only thing I ever had to do was explain "no, not the one from the fast and the furious. its an 85." Then they never seemed to care anymore. haha Sadly I no longer have that problem as the car is gone. She'll be replaced soon though hopefully.

I wasn't intentionally trying to be harsh. Just pointing out that nitrous probably would not help in this case. Better to get better at running down the strip with what you've got, then start adding power. I'm not trying to criticize his abilities, because at this point in time he has certainly...

i agree. nitrous would only worsen his apparent launching errors. power is not the answer to that guy's problem. although i must say, it's nice to see a MkIII beat a MkIV.
