i dont understand how to do any of that, all my mechanical work...like BHG repair etc, is done by my best friend who is an airplane mechanic. I only do intake, exhaust, intercooler.....no tearing down of any sort.
i just switched to 20w50 synthetic turbo formula...when i got it the guy said there was 10w30 in it. The thing i cant uderstand is why i cant hear it while driving, i tried....even held it at the rpm range and nothing. I dont have an exhaust either, my car is stock with the exception of BOV and...
I know ive been posting a lot but you guys really help. My car makes sort of a knocking noise from 2500-2800 rpm's ONLY in neutral. however, when im driving normally, even if im accelerating at WOT, the cars as quiet as can be...Just wondering what could cause that, ive been told that i would...
when im on the jackstands do i fill it as needed? or just let it circulate for a while? and how long do you do it for, because dont you need pressure to not boil the coolant?
how do you burp a car after a MHG install? I have a waterfall sound and coolant leaking into overflow, but with no smoke, overheating etc. I was told it was probably my radiator. Even if it is still my radiator, im still interested in knowing how to burp my supra :)
The guy that did it has owned a lot of supras and said that the stock bolts work fine as long as you dont torque the hell outta them or overboost your car.
no i didnt buy ARP's....the car doest smoke out the exhaust either at all if thats any help. Dosnt overheat or gauge jump either, just loses it out the overflow.
heres the story, i was driving my 89 supra turbo around one day and when i pulled off of the road and into my driveway, coolant was coming out of my overflow hose....sooo i figured blew my head gasket naturally. Well i just got it back from my mechanic, and he put in an HKS headgasket, valve...
i figured it out, the hose that connects to my hks BOV somehow got a hole in it, and one of my other boost lines that connect to my intake manifold (black rubber ones) was hard as hell and cracked. Changed the both hoses and it runs a lot stronger, and doesnt make as loud of spooling noise now lol.
