I wish for good health for my family
I wish for a good new year
and i wish for the supra gods to be on my side and help me get my 5mgte running in top shape.
also as for doing just a whole 7m swap that is a better idea. I dont know where you are located but on cs.com there quite a few members who have done 7m swaps and are legal in the smog nazi state of cali. The blocks bolt up, the only thing you have to deal with is a wiring harness and computer...
The Mk2 will be lighter...stock for stock the mk2 is much lighter so I can only imagine a stripped one being much lighter.
The 5m block and 7m blocks are almost identical, there are a couple different water jackets and such, couple other small ones.
I see no reason why the 5m block and crank...
that thought came into play also..Will probably be the way I do it while I get my car up and running... Them maybe later i can change over.
The power loss should be minimal if at all as long as you get a smooth transition back in (on the bend of the main pipe with flush angle).
yeah but that takes the fun outta things. Im not against a little bit loud exhaust if it is for a gain in horsepower...but if I can quite it a little to keep jonny law off me then that is the ideal route.
Buckshotglass::
I am gonna keep looking around and see if i cant find like a $20 glass...
something like this could probably work if I were to try and make my own...
http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/appages/fiberfrax.php
but by the time i buy that buy the tubing and spend the time to make one I could easily adapt the 1 3/4 one to it for the same price...(only like 27 for one.)
So i am in the process of turboing my MK2 and for my exhaust i have all three inch with DDP vented to atmosphere. I am a little worried about the sound so i was thinking of looking around for a really small glass pack type muffler to put on the wastegate pipe. Something straight through that...
I used the duplicolor stuff on my carpet and it turned out great...
durable too...Turned my faded/stained grey into a deep black and still feels like carpet.
Great job looks good.
