GUIDE : Disassembling a Rear Subframe

Guys, this is a guide for disassembly only because I was doing a straight swap for another subframe - the one thing I would mention is if you try and use this for REBUILDING the subframe then be sure you have used matchmarks for camber adjustment bolts and torque up necessary with the weight of...

GUIDE : Removing a rear subframe

Thanks goes to John89t for his initial guide, this is hopefully to enhance that for the novice mechanic but was a great help to me making this - thanks John Step 1 - Remove the centre cap to your wheel (jewellers screwdriver helped for mine) so you expose the large bolt that holds the...

The TPS has to be attached to the throttle body for you to lock it in position and calibrate it but the values will appear on a multimeter even with it detached (there is no electrical connection between the throttle body and TPS, it's mechanical only). It's pretty sensitive but certainly...

Courtesy of Mark3 on mkiiisupra.net: 1st off i plugged the induction passages with tissue, then i drilled the holes out to 10mm, i think the correct size is 10.4mm but i didnt have that size drill, better too small than too big a hole though, lol then get cutting new threads for heli...

    GUIDE : Modifying side repeaters

:) Sounds crude but effective - this isn't something I've ever done (the guide was posted on behalf of another forum member as mentioned at the top) so any tips are welcome.

    GUIDE : Steps for modifying

Thanks for the feedback Bomberillo, glad you like it - there were supposed to be a load of pictures in this guide but my new baby came along. I'm leaving because there's another baby so I've left the Supra fold! I drop in when I can though Anyway, best of luck with your 500rwhp

    GUIDE : Adjusting valve shims

If you're doing the cam belt then fair enough it wouldn't be a huge effort ... or you could just wait for your belt to snap then fixt it :)

GUIDE : Replacing cam cover gaskets

IIRC it is m6 x 25, I was just using some loctite thread sealant

    GUIDE : Adjusting valve shims

If you measure all the clearances first then you can remove both camshafts, make all the changes then refit but obviously you've got a cam belt to consider. All told I'd rather fiddle about with the cams on

    GUIDE : Short shift mod

Thanks Neodeuccio, you're too kind MikesFixedRoof - if you can give it a try in someone else's car you'll get an idea of the feel of it but I'd suggest picking up a spare gearstick then you can try it and go back if you don't like it. It's not for everyone but I personally highly recommend it

    Introduction and fairwell!

I can see that - I suddenly feel like I have missed out over the last few years by not spending much time round here, never mind eh - I'm sure by the end of the weekend I'll have decided I want another one .... now you see why I don't like being around Supra forums any more :)

    Introduction and fairwell!

lol you've seen it all before I know but with baby #2 on the way I have gone for a sensibel family car (well, an old 3.2 sport Jag but at least it's got 5 doors!), the police helicopter tends to leave me alone with this one :) See you at the weekend hopefully GrimJack, as for 7 in twenty...
