If you can't trust your engine to do a couple sub 15 second WOT pulls... You need to either just go and do it, or do some work to your engine.

Fwiw, I blew an intercooler pipe and drove 4 miles home when I first did my turbo swap. Connected the pipe back up and held it at 2000-2500 for 5 minutes and it was running fine again.

I had my CSI disconnected for a year or so. The only trouble I had with it was it had a little bit of trouble when it got below 40 degrees or so. Once it was running though, it ran fine.

Pulling the efi relay will not clear codes is what JJ means. Wouldn't it make sense to interrupt power TO the ECU, rather than FROM it to clear codes?
Hint: the ECU energizes the EFI relay.. so the ECU must be getting power elsewhere for it to keep memory and be able to energize the EFI...
Use a punch and hammer it over. All it is is a bushing that slides in and out so that the strut will always fit tight on the bottom.

Just tune so at cruise rpm it leans the mix a little... I think IJ leaned it out to around 15.2? Maybe 15.5? After that point the engine started stumbling I believe.

You can get a tester screwed in with the throttle linkage still in place. Just be careful not to cross thread it.
