Nothing wrong with that L engine besides the head being a shit design. They've been able to pull 250whp n/a out of the damn thing. And there's the turbo version as well.Doesn't take too many ponies to get a 280zx going, as they're light as all hell. Here's some awesome Z forums...

Tqed my last 5M head down to 80ft/lbs after blowing the HG and overheting it numerous times. Figured the bolts were stretched to hell, therefor extra TQ. After a day of riding around, they hadn't even backed off like headbolts usually do in alum. heads, lol. But I usually do 70ftlbs on...
